Disney’s Dare to Dream

Does your child love singing, acting, dancing or just being creative in general?

Maryborough Theatre Company is excited to invite young performers to audition for our 2026 Junior Production ‘Disney’s Dare to Dream JR.’ Showing May.

This show is all about building confidence, teamwork, creativity and having fun in a safe, encouraging environment.
We aim to create a fun, friendly and supportive audition process that is designed to help children feel comfortable, confident and proud of giving it a go.

Auditions are open to junior-aged performers (ages 7-15). No previous theatre experience is required. All we’re looking for is enthusiasm, willingness to try, a love of creativity, and of course commitment! We ask ALL performers to partake in an audition so they can get used to the process – whether they’re wanting a major/minor role, or wanting to be a part of the ensemble.
MTC pride ourselves on our inclusive shows – every child who auditions WILL be cast in a role whether it be a minor role, a major role or our incredible ensemble (which truly does make the show).

Rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays each week, starting March 1st, please ensure your child will be able to commit to this before you book their audition.

Important notes:
– There will be a 2 DANCE AUDITION sessions on each audition day (4 in total). You will be contacted with your dance audition session time via EMAIL upon booking, so please keep an eye out for this.
– Booking an audition is required.
– All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
– There is a show fee that will be communicated at auditions.
